MAKR CARRY GOODS – NEWS 2010

Jody Rogac…again.

I really love her work. A couple of images from her new blog. I have been super busy rearranging the studio. The stools are in and will be photographed next week. Have a great weekend. Go outside and do something great. Hang out with your father.

180 Degrees South

A great film that I’ve been waiting to see for a long time. It’s available to “watch now” on Netflix. Make it happen.

Alex Olson.

One of my other favorite (never met but seems interesting and rips on a skateboard)  fellas is Alex Olson.  Huh Magazine has a piece on him here. Solid images and a seemingly fun life. The image of his dad is incredible.

Something from Nothing.

I’m sure everyone has heard, but the Inventory crew have a brand new shop. It looks amazing guys!  They really have developed something great.

And “something out of nothing” part 2 is something I have talked about but is finally finished. Pontus Alv’s new film “In Search of the Miraculous” has been premiered and hopefully I will have a copy arriving in the mail soon. I can’t say enough good things about what he is doing in Malmo. The last image is just incredible, it just looks really fun. After their other bowl was torn down, to do it again takes a ton of heart. Keep it up sir.

Randoms. Monday.

Niall Mcclelland

Like being in the dark woods alone. Niall Mcclelland.

Weston Colton, tough ass name.

I was searching around for images of Sammy Winter and found this fella. He has some great landscapes along with images of the shred.

Winter.

Sammy Winter by Fred Mortagne. Really good. Cab N0-Comply?

Couple more for the kids.

Friday.

Images 2,4, and 8 by Brian Ferry. Thanks to Philip for the heads up.

Thursday.

PASS PORT’S “THE WET SUBURBAN KIDS” BY TOM NOAKES from Pass Port. on Vimeo.

These guys are doing such a rad thing. I have been meaning to post about them and was reminded by a certain someone. I’m sure everyone in the universe has seen this after his post but here it is anyway.

I’ve also been meaning to post about Fig in Charleston. Haven’t been there yet but one of my best friends is tending bar there and can’t compliment it enough. “Tending bar” is such an understatement when it comes to him.  Ryan you are the best.
